Yesterday, peaceful meeting organzed by opposition party ended with riots. Riots started when official part of meeting ended and about 1000 protesters went down to Saeima (parliament of Latvia) house nearby in Old Town Riga. Each year 1st May (which s holiday in Latvia) is the day of critical mass in Riga - with aim to manifest that Riga despite some bike roads is very unfriendly and dangerous city for byciclers. It's already 6th year if i remember correctly.
